Last term (Summer 2004) UW Food Services conducted a study in Mackenzie King
Village to explore nutritional issues facing students who live in suite
style
residences. UW Food Services took the major issues identified in this study
and made them the focus of CSI: Waterloo. CSI is the abbreviation for
Cuisine
Scene Investigation.
Read about the nutritional issues that students who live in a suite style residence face on a daily basis in our weekly episodes of CSI: Waterloo.

Like many UW staff, a hectic lifestyle that includes a busy work schedule, family commitments, housework, and shopping do not leave a lot of time to look after oneself. When you do find the time, complete exhaustion takes its toll and the only thing to consume your mind is going to bed. When you’re “in the moment” your last priority is eating a balanced meal and exercising. You are not alone!
To inspire you, UW Food Services has sponsored a health challenge that involves three UW staff. This health challenge is not about the three staff challenging each other, but rather the challenger challenging themselves into a healthier lifestyle.

Living in one of UW’s residences can be a student's first home away from home. Independence can be very exciting but the stress of a new environment, studies, and exams can challenge the opportunity to eat a nutritionally balanced diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
UW Food Services is pleased to present this health challenge and would like you to join in the adventure that the health challengers are welcoming with great enthusiasm.
